Jonathan McNees is a former Marine and avid outdoorsman who has loved knives his entire life. He got his start in the industry making custom knives in 2008 using a cobbled-together grinder in a makeshift home shop. In the years since, with the support of his wife Amy, their family, and a great team, he has turned McNees Knives into a full-time business selling thousands of small batch production knives and offering a variety of quality EDC gear. True to his roots and appreciation for nature, Jonathan’s knives are geared toward everyday carry, outdoor, and tactical use. He is proudly committed to keeping McNees Knives products designed, produced, and built in the USA, with most work done in his upgraded Alabama-based shop and specific services outsourced to other American suppliers and partners.
